Raritan Township, NJ - Bruce M. Kay, age 70 years, died Thursday, July 21, 2016, at Morristown Memorial Hospital in Morristown, NJ.
Born April 20, 1946, in New York, NY, Bruce was the son of the late Irving and Molly (Shapiro) Kay. He was raised in Manhattan, and he received his Bachelor’s Degree in Business from the City College of New York and his MBA from Baruch College in New York.
Bruce lived in Flemington for 44 years with his wife, Evelyn, where they owned and operated a video rental store, “Showbiz Video.” He also worked as a Computer Scientist for many years. He and Evelyn were world travelers, loved playing golf, and enjoyed Broadway shows.
Predeceased by his parents. Bruce is survived by his wife of 48 years, Evelyn (Warsaw) Kay, his daughters, Joanna Silberman (Brett) of Commack, NY, and Nicole Dolin (Ronald) of Middleton, WI, his son, Michael Kay of Arlington, MA, his sister, Janet Rothman of Floral Park, NY, and his five grandchildren, Marley Silberman, Darin Silberman, Talia Dolin, Alex Dolin, and Shayna Dolin.
Funeral services officiated by the Rabbi Jacob Malki, will be held at 11 am, Sunday, July 24, 2016, at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in the Flemington Jewish Community Center Cemetery, Capner Street, in Flemington.
Shiva will be held at the home of Evelyn and Bruce, 103 Barley Sheaf Road in Flemington on Sunday, Monday, and Tuesday evening at 7 pm.
