Elayne H. Bork

Elayne H. Bork, age 78 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Monday, January 2, 2006, in the Country Arch Health Care Center, Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.

Born in Irvington, NJ, February 14, 1927, she was the daughter of the late George and Gladys Scherer Hagmann. She had formerly resided in Irvington, NJ for sixty years, then Toms River, NJ, before moving to Pittstown, NJ.

She was a retired secretary with the Irvington Board of Education. She was a former member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the American Legion Post, Irvington, NJ. She was voted Most Athletic in her class at Irvington High School.

Her husband, George F. Bork, Jr., died in 1992. She is survived by a daughter, Barbara Bork Neuhart, of Chatham, NJ; two sons; George F. Bork III, of Pittstown, NJ, and Jeff Bork, of Park Ridge, IL; a sister, Janet Ungerer, of Kokomo, IN; seven grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 10:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Hollywood Memorial Park, Union, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
