James Thomas Brown, Jr.

James Thomas Brown, Jr., age 57 years, died Sunday, November 11, 2018 at his home in Clearwater FL.

Born May 24, 1961 in Newark NJ, Jim was the son of James T. and Patricia M. (Fredricks) Brown of Kingwood Township NJ. Jim grew up in Whitehouse NJ and graduated from Hunterdon Central Regional High School in the Class of 1980.

He worked for many years at Flemington Chrysler before moving to Florida several years ago. He was the Owner of Brown Contracting, a residential construction firm in New Jersey and Florida. He was currently employed by Clearwater Beach Marina in Clearwater.

Jim enjoyed cooking many special meals for the members of the Flemington VFW over the years while living in Hunterdon County.

Predeceased by his sister, Susan Marie Scanlon in 2008, Jim is survived by his parents, Jim and Peggy Brown, his daughter, Angela Brown of Flemington, his son, James T. Brown, III of Flemington, his brother, Steve Brown, and his wife, Sheryl, of Flemington, his loving companion of twenty years, Debbie Manfredi of Clearwater FL, his niece, Kaitlyn and his nephew, Steven, as well as several aunts, uncles and cousins.

Funeral service will be at 11:00 am on Friday, November 16, 2018, at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ. Cremation will follow privately. Calling hours will be Thursday, from 2:00 to 4:00 pm and from 6:00 to 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
