Joseph Freund

Joseph Freund, age 100 years, of Fort Lauderdale, FL, died on Febrauary 22, 2005, in Holy Cross Hospital, Fort Lauderdale, FL.

Born in Croatia, June 15, 1904, he had formerly resided in Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, NJ. He became a naturalized citizen in 1928.

He moved to Florida in 1956, retiring from the garment industry in 1967.

His first wife, Emily Betker Freund, died in 1989. He is survived by his second wife, Letha Sternberg Freund; a son, Albert Freund, of Plantation, FL; and three grandsons.

Graveside services will be held on Monday, February 28, 2005, at 2 PM in the Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Monday from Noon until 1:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
