Patricia A. Beherrell

Patricia A. Beherrell, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, passed away on Wednesday, September 6, 2023, at her home where she had resided for the last 63 years.

Born in Wakefield, MA, February 17, 1936, she was the daughter of the late Herbert and Essie (Hawkes) Boucher. She grew up in Massachusetts and then moved to Somerville, NJ and finally Flemington, NJ after marrying James E. Beherrell on August 4, 1956.

She was formerly employed by the computer workstation manufacturing plant, Unisys Corporation, Flemington, NJ, as a technician before retiring when the plant closed in 1992.

Throughout her life she enjoyed traveling and camping with her husband, kids, and grandkids. She was also an avid reader of mystery and romance novels. She liked to visit Holden Beach, NC with her family. She also enjoyed visiting family in Massachusetts. She was known for opening her door to travelers who needed a place to stay. However, most importantly, she was a “family-woman”; and a beloved Mom and Grandma.

In addition to her parents, she was predeceased by her brother, the late Richard Boucher in 2007. After 60 years of marriage, her husband the late James E. Beherrell, died in 2017.

Surviving are her daughter and son-in-law, Jill and Terry Sisco of Sparta, NJ, son, Scott Beherrell of Chesterfield, SC, and daughter and son-in-law, Cynthia and Glenn Stewart of Manahawkin, NJ; three grandchildren, Sean and Kevin Stewart and Victor Beherrell; sister and brother-in-law, Doreen and Bill Murphy, and brother and sister-in-law, David and Linda Boucher, both of Massachusetts.

A visitation will take place on Saturday, September 30, 2023, from 10:00 – 11:00 AM in the Holcombe- Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Funeral services will follow at 11:00 AM in the funeral home. Interment with her late husband will be in the family plot in Sand Brook Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ.
