Richard W. Yard

Richard W. Yard, age 65 years, of Flemington, NJ, died on Friday, April 1, 2005, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Flemington, NJ, he was the son of the late Wilson and Elizabeth Tirpok Yard.

He was the proprietor of Yard Beverage Distributors, Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1999.

He was a United States Navy veteran serving from 1957-1962. He was a 1957 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ. He was a member of the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928; the South Park Hunting Club, and the National Rifle Association.

Surviving are his wife, Carol Kaffitz Yard; a brother, William Yard of Raritan Township, NJ; four nephews and two nieces.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday at 11 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
