Thomas Suharik, age 82 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, October 6, 2010, in the Country Arch Care Center, Union Township, Hunterdon County, NJ.
Born on June 23, 1928, he was the son of the late Stephen and Katherina Kieryk Sucharyk. He was a Hunterdon County resident for fifty-one years.
He was a retired Fine Arts Teacher, formerly at Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1988.
He was a graduate of Kutztown University and received his Masters degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University.
He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II. He was a member of the NJEA.
Surviving are his wife of fifty-six years, Dorothy Hays Suharik; three sons, Thomas Suharik and his wife Wendy of Woodland, CA, Andrew Suharik and David Suharik, both of
Flemington, NJ; three grandsons: Stephen, Bryan, and James Suharik; and a sister, Estelle Nesko. He was pre-deceased by two brothers, Peter and John Suharik and two sisters, Ann Buritan and Helen Suharik.
Funeral Services will be held on Monday at 10:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Sunday from 6-8 PM in the funeral home.
