Vencels Klima

Vencels Klima, age 80 years, of Neshanic Station, NJ, died Wednesday, April 6, 2005, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Dobele, Latvia, Februaury 9, 1925, he was the son of the late Vaclaus and Vera Resonoks Klima.

He was employed by Egan Machinery, Somerville, NJ, retiring in 1989.

He was a member of the American Latvian Association, supporting the local chapter in Freehold, NJ. He helped build the Latvian Lutheran Church, East Brunswick, NJ. He was a member of the Trout and Grouse Rod and Gun Club; the Chess Club, and he attended the Clover Hill Reformed Church, Clover Hill, NJ. He was an avid gardener, hunter, fisherman, and outdoorsman.

Surviving are his wife, Laura Van Nuys Fenwick Klima; four daughters, Mara Klima Zeltkalns and her husband, Peter, of East Windsor, NJ, Ilse Klima Thomas and her husband, Robert, of Cranbury, NJ, Amy Fenwick Frank and her husband, Russell, of Neshanic Station, NJ, and Rebecca Fenwick of Neshanic Station, NJ; two sons, Modris Vencels Klima and his wife, Nancy, of Ringoes, NJ, and Paul Fenwick and his wife, Constance, of Hillsborough; a sister Ludmilla Zasimova; a brother and sister-in-law, Imants and Rasma Klima, and nieces and nephews in Latvia; and a wonderful extended family including brothers-in-law, John, George, and William Van Nuys. Mr. Klima was the beloved Popie/Vectevs of seven grandchildren and two great grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 10 AM in the Clover Hill Reformed Church, Clover Hill, NJ. Interment will follow in Neshanic Cemetery, Neshanic, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Friday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
