A. Douglas Rogers, age 51 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 20, 2013, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Raritan Township, March 21, 1961, he was the son of Patricia Walter Kerr of Raritan Township, NJ and the late Alfred Rogers. He was a lifelong resident.
He was a 1979 graduate of Hunterdon Central High School, Flemington, NJ, and a 1983 graduate of Bloomsburg University.
Doug was a self-employed owner/operator of a hot tub service.
Selected 2012 Elk of the Year, he was a longtime member of Flemington Elks Lodge #1928.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are his stepfather, Bruce Kerr of Raritan Township, NJ; two sons, Christopher Rogers and Kyle Rogers, both of Flemington, NJ; a daughter, Carly Rogers, of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Scott Rogers, of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Tracy Kerr Zavodnick of Switzerland; his girlfriend, Mary Van Doren of Hillsborough, NJ; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 1 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 6-9 PM in the funeral home.
