Aaron W. "Bucky" Kline

Aaron W. "Bucky" Kline, age 88 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Friday, December 5, 2008 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Readington Township, NJ, August 24, 1920, son of the late Alex and Edith Case Kline, he had resided in the Flemington, NJ area all his life.

A 1939 graduate of Flemington High School, Flemington, NJ, he was formerly an usher at the Palace Theater, Main Street, Flemington, NJ. He was then employed by Bush Dairy, Flemington, NJ; then by Sherwin-Williams Paint Company, Flemington, NJ; then by J. Saums, Flemington, NJ; and finally was a rural mail carrier with the Flemington Post Office for thirty-two years until retiring.

A United States Army Veteran of World War II, serving from 1942-1946, Mr. Kline was stationed in New Guinea and the Phillippines and discharged with the rank of Staff Sergeant. He was a seventy-three year member of the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Three Bridges, NJ; a member of Flemington American Legion Post #159 and Flemington V.F.W. Post #7856; and was a member of Flemington Elks Lodge #1928.

His wife, Elizabeth Smock Kline, died in 1993; and two brothers, John E. and Lloyd H. Kline, died earlier.

Surviving are a sister, Joyce Serridge of Raritan Township, NJ; a step-son, William Holcombe of Flemington, NJ; a step-grandaughter, Brynn and her husband Thomas Krider of Longwood, FL; and three great grandchildren, Tyler, Zachary and Sydney Krider.

Funeral Services will be held Thursday at 10:30 a.m. in the Three Bridges Reformed Church, Main Street, Three Bridges, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Readington Cemetery, Readington, NJ. Calling hours will be Wednesday from 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
