Adella Kline, age 92, died Tuesday, March 31, 2020 at her home in Raritan Township NJ. She lived in Hunterdon County all of her life.
Born June 19, 1927, in Delaware Township NJ, Adella was the daughter of the late Frank H. and Ida Mae (Worthington) Curtis.
She was married to the late John “Shine” Kline and worked as an Office Manager and co-owner at Shine’s Garage in Flemington for many years until it was sold.
Adella was a member of Three Bridges Reformed Church for many years and was a long-time member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Flemington Elks Lodge #1928, as well as a member and former Treasurer of the East Amwell Senior Citizens group.
She loved going to various auctions where she collected antiques and other memorabilia. Adella was an avid gardener, loved animals, especially her cats, and the outdoors in general. She was a kind soul, who will be remembered by her family and many friends for her warm smile, conversation, and ability to make people comfortable.
In addition to her parents and her husband, John “Shine” Kline in 2003, Adella was also predeceased by her brother, Foster Curtis in 1993. She is survived by her daughter and partner, Deborah L. Kline and David Lee of Stockton NJ, her grandson and wife, Graham D. Lee and Erin Greene, her grandson, Colin Michael Lee, her nephew, Dick Curtis, and several other nieces and nephews.
A memorial service and interment in Rosemont Cemetery is being planned officiated by Rev. Ryan Nace for a later date and under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
