Adolf Herman, age 93 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Wednesday, March 21, 2007 at the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Berlin, Germany, January 16, 1914, he had resided in Raritan Township since 1982, having previously lived in Millburn, NJ.
For many years, he was owner and operator of A. Herman, Custom Tailor, located in Millburn, NJ.
Mr. Herman was also a member of the Flemington Jewish Community Center, Flemington, NJ as well as a swimmer at the Hunterdon County YMCA.
His first wife, Margot Herman, died in 1969 and his son-in-law, Henry Geller, died in 1996.
Surviving are his wife of thirty-four years, Ruth Spett Herman; a daughter, Rina Geller of Livingston, NJ; a son, Ilan Herman (Millie) of Lavalette, NJ; a step-son, Daniel Weinstock (Lorinda) of Geneva, NY; eight grandchildren, Helen Geller, Diana Steiner, Alisa McMichael, Debbie Miller, Danielle Herman, Gabriel Weinstock, Rebecca Weinstock and Naomi Weinstock; and three great grandchildren, Nicole and Henry Steiner and Lillie Miller.
Graveside Services will be held Friday at 11:00 a.m. in B'nai Abraham Memorial Park, Union, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Please visit www.holcombefisher.com for further information or to send condolences.
