Albert J. Klein, Jr.

Albert J. Klein, Jr., age 86 years, of Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ, passed away the evening of Friday, June 2, 2023, at AtlantiCare Regional Medical Center, Mainland Campus, Galloway Township, NJ.

Born in Somerville, NJ, July 12, 1936, he was the son of the late Mary (Vercheck) and Albert J. Klein, Sr. He was a former, long-time resident of Flemington, NJ, before moving to Scranton, PA, and finally Little Egg Harbor a few years ago.

After attending Flemington High School, as a young man he joined the United States Air Force and served until his honorable discharge in 1962.

For more than thirty years, he was employed as the caretaker and maintenance supervisor for the Little Sisters of the Poor, 31 Britton Drive, Flemington, NJ, until his retirement.

He was predeceased by his wife, the late Hazel (Sheppard) Klein, who died in 2001. Among his survivors are his granddaughter, Joy Little of Little Egg Harbor Township, NJ and his sister, Julia Ulrich of Gillett, PA.

Graveside military honors and committal services, officiated by Fr. John Primich, at St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ will be held on Friday, June 9, 2023 at 3:00 PM under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home.  Interment, next to his late wife, will follow the committal prayers. There are no calling hours. A Mass of Remembrance will be held at the Little Sisters of the Poor on Saturday, June 10, 2023 at 8:00 AM.
