Alexander C. Shallop

Alexander C. Shallop, age 24 years, of Milford, NJ, died on February 24, 2007, at his residence.

Born in Raritan Township, NJ, November 15, 1982, he was the son of Richard G. and Janet Yasunas Shallop, of Milford, NJ. He had formerly resided in Flemington, NJ.

He was a graduate of Delaware Valley High School, Alexandria Township, NJ where he was Group 2 State Wrestling Champion at 160 pounds.

Alexander served in the United States Marine Corps 2002-2005, serving part of his enlistment in Afghanistan.

He was last employed by CTT Communications, Middlesex, NJ.

He was a member of American Legion Post #113, Frenchtown, NJ.

Surviving, in addition to his parents, are three sisters, Christa Perz of Hammondsport, NY, Barbara Durkin of Newtown, PA, and Elayne Babino of Staten Island, NY; four brothers, Stephen Shallop of Ringoes, NJ, Gregory Shallop of Washington, NJ, Richard Shallop of Quarter Ranch, CA, and Christopher Shallop, United States Army, Fort Sam Houston, TX; and several nieces and nephews.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Thursday at 10:30 AM in St. Edward's Church, Milford, NJ. Interment will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
