Alfred Casagrande

Alfred Casagrande, age 86 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, Febrauary 5, 2006, in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Barnsboro, PA, November 14, 1919, he was the son of the late Amadeo and Amalia Casagrande.

He was a heating engineer with Ortho Diagnostica, Raritan, NJ, retiring in 1984.

He was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, NJ; the Flemington-Raritan Senior Citizens; Flemington Elks Lodge #1928; managed the Bocci Program at the Senior Center; and was also a volunteer with the Mr. Fixit Program for many years.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-two years, Laura Chiesa Casagrande; two sons; Dr. Richard Casagrande, of Kingston, RI, and Robert Casagrande of Kingston, NH; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in St. Magdalen Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
