Alfred Kreitler, age 92 years, of Forks Township, PA. died Tuesday, April 3, 2018, at Bethlehem Nursing Center, Bethlehem, PA.
Born in New York City, May 23, 1925, son of the late Joseph and Julia Berencsi Kreitler, he had resided in Quakertown, NJ most of his life, then in Homosassa, Fl. for twenty-five years and had resided in Forks Township since last year.
An avid aviation enthusiast, he was a pilot for Eastern Airlines until retiring.
Alfred was a US Army veteran of World War II serving in the European and Middle Eastern Theaters. He was a member of the 'Remote Control Model Aircraft Club and the Airline Pilots Association. He was a former member of the Quakertown Fire Company.
An avid boater, Alfred was an aircraft owner and glider pilot as well.
His brother, Joseph Kreitler, and his sister, Margaret Bacorn, pre-deceased him.
Surviving are his wife of sixty-seven years, Charlotte Verity Kreitler; a son and daughter-in-law, Roger and Kathy Kreitler of Quakertown, NJ; a daughter and son-in-law, Juliann and Donald Tremaine of Pittstown, NJ; and three grandchildren, Matthew Tremaine, Melissa Tremaine and Claudia Kreitler.
Funeral services will be held Friday, April 6, 2018, at 11:30AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday 10:30-11:30AM at the funeral home.
