Alfred "Steve" Ubel

Alfred "Steve" Ubel, age 71 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, June 16, 2005 at his residence.

Born in Raritan Township, NJ, October 26, 1933 to the late Michael and Anna Helmouth Ubel, he had resided in Raritan Township his entire life.

A member of the New Jersey Farm Bureau, Mr. Ubel was the owner and operator of Ubel's Farm Stand on Route 12 in Raritan Township, NJ for over thirty years. Prior to that, he worked at Friehofer's Bakery, Trenton, NJ and owned and operated Ubel's Disposal Service, Raritan Township, NJ.

His wife, Frieda Hack Ubel, died in 2003. A brother, Rudy Ubel, also predeceased him. Surviving are two daughters, Kathy Ubel-Pohl of Orlando, FL and Lynne Schneider of Flemington, NJ; a son, Martin M. Ubel of Raritan Township, NJ; three brothers, Michael E. Ubel of Sand Brook, NJ, John Ubel of Upper Black Eddy, PA and Frederick Ubel of Kingwood Township, NJ; a sister, Hildegard McConnell of PA; and eight grandchildren, Amy L. Schneider of East Amwell Township, NJ, Teirney R. Ubel of Lawrenceville, NJ, Julie M. Schneider of Raritan Township, NJ, Frankie E. A. Schneider of Raritan Township, NJ, Shannon M. Ubel of Raritan Township, NJ, Brianna L. Ubel of Raritan Township, NJ, Kyle U. Hudson of Orlando, FL and Timothy A. Ubel of Raritan Township, NJ.

Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday at 2 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ.
