Alfred W. Rogers, age 69 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died December 2, 2005 in Foothill Acres Nursing Home, Hillsborough Township, NJ.
Born in Solebury Township, PA, August 18, 1936, son of Margaret Voorhees Rogers of Flemington, NJ and the late Alfred Rogers, he had resided in the Flemington area most of his life.
He was an Animal Specialist with Merck & Co., Branchburg Township, NJ, retiring in 2001.
A 1955 graduate of Flemington High School, Mr. Rogers served in the United States Army 1955-1962 and was a member of Sons of American Legion Post #159, Flemington, NJ.
He also was a life member of Flemington Elks Lodge #1928 and life member of the Flemington Veterans of Foreign Wars Post #7856.
Surviving, in addition to his mother, are two sons, Douglas Rogers and Scott Rogers, both of Flemington, NJ; a sister, Frances Krieg of Reaville, NJ; and five grandchildren, Christopher, Kyle, Bryan, Carly and Jared Rogers, all of Flemington, NJ. A sister, Joan Herder, died in l980.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 10:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Harbourton Cemetery, Harbourton, NJ.
