Alice H. Pilecki

Alice H. Pilecki, age 90 years, died Wednesday, February 28, 2018 at her home in Frenchtown Borough NJ, where she has resided for the last five years. Born May 3, 1927 in Jersey City NJ, Alice was the daughter of the late George and Geraldine (Southwick) Reffler. She moved to Hunterdon County in 1961 with her late husband, Edward Pilecki, where they lived in Three Bridges and later in Stanton NJ. Alice was a bookkeeper in Edward’s sign and crane businesses in Dunellen NJ for many years. Alice was a devoted wife, mother and homemaker. She enjoyed sewing and reading mystery novels and baking the most flavorful pies for her family. She loved tole and theorem painting for friends and family. Predeceased by her husband, Edward in 2011, Alice is survived by her son and daughter-in-law, James and Libby Pilecki of Stewartsville NJ, her daughter and son-in-law, Laura and Fred Taylor of Frenchtown NJ, her sister, Patricia Marino of South Jersey, her grandchildren, Melissa Roxey, Jayson Taylor, Kari Sinclair, and Kris Pilecki, as well as three great-grandchildren. Funeral services and cremation are private under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ.
