Alice K. Mannon

Alice K. Mannon, age 100 years, of Indianapolis, IN departed this life February 14, 2018 at her home.

She was born December 19, 1917 in Elizabeth, NJ to Nicholas C. and Rose J. (Shopp) Krautwurst. She grew up on her family's farm and attended schools in Sidney and Clinton, NJ. Alice worked as a legal secretary and deputy surrogate in New Jersey for many years.

She and her husband also operated farms in Hunterdon County, NJ, and Williams Township in Northampton County, Pennsylvania. She was an accomplished gardener and dedicated wife and mother. She was an avid reader and enjoyed learning new things.

Alice was preceded in death by her husband of 58 years, Harry E. Mannon. She is survived by her loving sons, Samuel F. Mannon, James H. Mannon and his wife, Stuart, and her grandchildren Ellis J. and Joyce S. Mannon.

Visitation for Alice will be from 3:30 pm until time of services at 4:30 pm on Friday, February 23rd at Leppert Mortuary - Nora Chapel, 740 East 86th Street, Indianapolis, IN 46240.

Services and burial at 2:00 pm on Monday, February 26, 2018 in Cherryville Mountainview Cemetery, 596 Cherryville Road, Cherryville, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
