Alice L. Mathews, age 93 years, of Hamilton Square, NJ, died on Sunday, May 15, 2011 in the Hamilton Continuing Care Center, Hamilton Township, NJ.
Born in Frankford Township, NJ, June 2, 1917, she was the daughter of the late Walter B. and Flora Mooney Kymer.
She had previously resided in Lambertville, NJ, Blawenburg, NJ, Frenchtown, NJ, and moved to West Virginia in 1986.
She was a homemaker.
She was pre-deceased by her first husband, Ernest C. Klingler, and her second husband, Harold F. Mathews, and her siblings, Herbert Kymer, Charles Kymer, David Kymer, Clarence Kymer, Florence Johnson, Fred Kymer, William Kymer, and Albert Kymer. Surviving are her daughter, Josephine L. Haney of Ewing, NJ; her grandchildren, Darlene Giovannetti and her husband John of Yardville, NJ, and Donald Haney and his wife Janet of Wrightstown, NJ; step-daughters, Sandra Thomas and her husband Bob of Kintnersville, PA, and Shirley Fowler of Little Egg Harbor, NJ; her siblings, Frank Kymer of Branchville, NJ, and Roy Kymer of Branchville, NJ; and her great-grandchildren: Jennifer Giovannetti of Mount Laurel, NJ, Jamie Giovannetti of Yardville, NJ, and Jessica and Joshua Haney of Wrightstown, NJ.
Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 11:30 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Barber Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 10 AM until time of service in the funeral home.
