Alida E. Mol

Alida Mol, beloved Mother, Oma and Omi, died peacefully on Friday, May 15, 2020, at the Country Arch Care Center, Pittstown, NJ. Alida was 99 years old. She was predeceased by her husband John Mol, who died in 2006. Surviving are her only son, Alex and his wife, Johanna, her grandchildren and their families: Marcel, Annette, Zachary, Andrée, Carrie, Chloe, and Parker. Alida was born in Amsterdam, the Netherlands, on November 8, 1920. She survived the 5 year long German occupation during World War II, immigrated to the United States in 1956, and twice survived breast cancer. She was a homemaker and enjoyed sewing, knitting, crocheting, cooking and baking. The family enjoyed many of her Dutch meals and baked goods. The Mol family will hold a private memorial service to celebrate Alida’s life. Funeral arrangements are under the direction of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington NJ 08822.
