Alyce Fisher, age 94 years, of Three bridges, NJ, died on Saturday, December 22, 2012 in the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Bayonne, NJ, December 3, 1918, daughter of the late John and Frances Standarski Klusienski, she had resided in Three Bridges since 1946, having formerly resided in Hillsborough Township, NJ.
Alyce graduated from Somerville High School, Somerville, NJ and Wilford Beauty Academy. During World War II, she worked at Picatinny Arsenal, Dover, NJ where she was a Rosy The Riveter in the manufacturing of gunpowder for the war.
After the war broke, she was a waitress working at the old Flemington Hotel, Colligans Restaurant (now the Stockton Inn), the famous Stella Dallas Restaurant (now The Rivers Edge), the Ringoes Golf Course Restaurant and lastly, retired at age 69 from Dart Industries in Neshanic.
She was formerly a member of the Eastern Star, the Three Bridges Fire Company Ladies Auxiliary and was a volunteer at the Hunterdon Medical Center. She was Catholic by faith.
In addition to her parents, she was pre-deceased by her husband, Albert R. Fisher in 1987, three sisters and two brothers.
Surviving are her children, Jacquelyn Everitt and her husband, Donald, Ronald Fisher and his wife, Karla and Albert Fisher, Jr. Also surviving are her grandchildren, Donald Everitt, John Everitt, Lauren Fisher, Meghan Fisher, Michaela Fisher, Karen Fisher, Mark Fisher, Gary Fisher and David Fisher as well as fifteen great grandchildren.
Funeral Services will be held on Friday at 11:00 a.m. preceded by visitation from 10:00-11:00 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
