Andrew David Simutis, 15, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died Friday, February 3, 2017, at the Children's Hospital of Philadelphia.
Born in Ames, IA, August 31, 2001, son of Frank and Catherine Simutis, he formerly resided in Mount Vernon, IN. Andrew was an Eagle Scout with Troop 397 in St. Philip, IN, and an active member of St. Matthew Catholic Church in Mount Vernon, IN.
Surviving in addition to his parents are three brothers: Frank Simutis III, Michael Simutis, and Joseph Simutis, all of East Amwell Township, NJ; his paternal grandparents: Frank and Joyce Simutis of Watseka, IL; maternal grandfather Jim Kobyluk of Mount Vernon, IN; great-grandfather Charles Simcoe of Watseka, IL; two aunts: Tanya (Rod DeRienzo) Kobyluk and Jennifer (Stewart) Wagener; two uncles: Jeff (Melanie) Simutis and Rob Simutis; and two cousins: Oona Haigh and Ozzi DeRienzo.
A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Rev. Jim Sauer and Rev. Timothy Christy will be held on Wednesday, February 8, 2017, at 10:30 a.m. in St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, February 7, 2017, from 5:00-8:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
