Andrew William Casey

Andrew William Casey, age 44 years, of Bethlehem Township, NJ, died on Saturday, August 16, 2008 in Clinton Township, NJ as a result of injuries sustained in a motorcycle accident.

Born in Elmhurst, Queens, NY, October 14, 1963, son of Carmen Ramirez Casey Castro of Altamonte Springs, FL and the late James Patrick Casey, he had resided in Bethlehem Township for the past seventeen years, having previously lived in Three Bridges, NJ and Kings Park, NY.

A renowned Cinematographer, Mr. Casey was well known for his work as a Steadicam Operator. A graduate of the New York Institute of Technology, he worked on many acclaimed projects including the films “Forrest Gump,” “Glory,” “Philadelphia,” “The Bourne Ultimatum” and the “The Manchurian Candidate” as well as with the HBO series “The Sopranos” and the recent HBO special, “John Adams.” He was well respected in the industry and was often requested by lead actors to work with them on their projects, including Harrison Ford, Nicole Kidman and Sarah Jessica Parker.

He, along with his wife Kathy, loved their family, their friends and their community very much.

His wife Kathleen Mary Sheridan Casey, died on Saturday, August 16, 2008 as a result of injuries sustained in the same accident.

Surviving, in addition to his mother, are three children, Brendan Michael Casey of Denver, CO, Jillian Sheridan Casey, a Senior at UNC Chapel Hill and Trevor Andrew Casey of Bethlehem Township, NJ; a brother and sister-in-law, James Gerard and Dawn Casey of Ronkonkoma, NY; a sister and brother-in-law, Hope Casey Crucilla and Tom Crucilla of Farmingdale, NY; his God-Father, George A. Ramirez of Douglaston, NY; his God-Mother, Mary Ellen Fischer; several nieces and nephews; and many friends.

Funeral Services will be held Friday at 10:30 a.m. in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, 10 East Main Street, Flemington, NJ, preceded by Visitation from 9:30-10:30 a.m. in the Church. Committal Services will follow at Ewing Crematory, Ewing Township, NJ. Calling hours will be Thursday from 2:00-4:00 p.m. and 7:00-9:00 p.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
