Anita E. Slack

Anita E. Slack, age 87 years, of Flemington, NJ passed away on Sunday, November 27, 2022, in the Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

-Beloved Mother, Grandmother, Great Grandmother and Friend-

Anita was born at home on February 24, 1935, the daughter of Carl and Jessie Foerster. Anita grew up in Whitehouse Station, NJ and graduated with honors from Flemington High School with the Class of 1953.

She began working at Johns Manville Corporation where she met Harvey (Fred) Slack and was married for 29 years. Anita and Fred purchased a home in Lebanon where they raised their three children (Fred, David, and Amy).

Anita also worked for Elpee Wholesale Florist, Clinton Township School District, The Hunterdon County Library and Farmers Insurance throughout her career.

Anita loved to travel throughout the United States and internationally. She also enjoyed having fun and enjoying life with her family, friends, and later in life partner, Paul Weigand.

Anita is survived by three children: Fred Slack and wife Chris, David Slack and wife Linda, and Amy Garrison and husband Peter. She is also survived by five adult grandchildren and eleven great grandchildren.

A Celebration of Life will be held at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ on Sunday, December 4, 2022, from 12 Noon to 1:00 PM. A service, officiated by Rev. Amy E.S. Lincoln, will immediately follow at 1:00 PM.
