Anita Winnick, age 87 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Saturday, April 13, 2013, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Brooklyn, NY, July 14, 1925, she was the daughter of the late Edward and Yetta Bierholtz Hollander.
She was a graduate of Lafayette High School, Brooklyn, NY, and worked in clothing sales for years and then for the General Services Administration, Queens, NY. She had previously resided in Florida and Cedarhurst, NY.
She was an avid card and mah-jongg player , and a big fan of Frank Sinatra. She was also a member of Hadassah.
Her husband, Sidney Winnick, died in 1973, and a daughter, Debra Chelko, died in 2005. She is survived by a son, Edward Winnick of Raritan Township, NJ; a sister, Shirley Zacharia of Boca Raton, FL; a step-duagher, Meryl Freedman of Avon, CT; two grandchildren: Sydney and Matthew; and nieces and nephews.
Funeral services and interment will be private under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Memorial services will be held at a later date at the convenience of the family.
