Ann Pershyn, age 98 years, our beloved “Great Gram,” entered Heaven on January 4, 2011 at her home in Big Pine Key, FL.
She was born in Bath, PA, June 27, 1912 to her parents Mary and Harry Kutch. Ann resided in New York City, NY where she met her husband, moved to Central New Jersey (Kingwood Township & Milford) and lived her last years in Big Pine Key, FL.
Ann worked on her brother’s farm in Kingwood Township. She also worked for many years as a waitress at the Circle Diner, Flemington, NJ.
Great Gram was an avid gardener and took great pride in her flowers and her vegetable garden. She also enjoyed sewing and crocheting. A longtime bowler retiring at the age of 89 with a 160 average, Ann bowled twice in Las Vegas for the WIBC Tournament.
Ann was a communicant of St. Edwards Catholic Church of Milford, NJ. She was a loving mother, a dear sister and aunt, a loving grandmother and great grandmother who is sadly missed by her family.
She was pre-deceased by her son, Gerald and her brother, John.
Surviving are her son, William of Big Pine Key, FL; two grandsons and their spouses, John and Heather of Milford, NJ and Michael and Lisa of Elizabeth, NJ; five great grandchildren, Amanda, Jared, Devin, Dean and Madison; three nieces; and two nephews.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. in Our Lady of Victories Church, Route 519, Baptistown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be Friday from 6:00-9:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
