Anna C. Lowery

Anna C. Lowery, age 95 years, of Readington Township, NJ, died on Saturday, September 8, 2007, at her residence.

Born in Highland, PA, January 2, 1912, she had formerly resided in Bound Brook, NJ.

A former garment worker, she was a communicant of St. Joseph's Church, Bound Brook, NJ, and a member of the Columbettes Ladies Auxiliary of the Knights of Columbus and a member of the Altar and Rosary Society.

Her husband, Joseph A. Lowery, died in 1984, and a daughter, Maryann Lowery, died in 1977. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Joseph T. and Maria Elena Lowery of Readington Township, NJ; four sisters: Betty Polaschick of Greenville, MD, Evelyn Yaruso of Freeland, PA, Julie Miglas of Philadelphia, PA, and Victoria Soika of Manville, NJ; and a brother, Vincent Martonis of Jamestown, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 11 AM in St. Joseph's Church, Bound Brook, NJ. Interment will be in Resurrection Cemetery, Piscataway, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 8:30-10 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
