Anne C. Scheier

Anne C. Scheier, age 82 years, of Hopewell Township, NJ, died Thursday, August 12, 2021, at Capitol Health System-Hopewell Township, NJ. Born in Trenton, NJ, May 5, 1939, daughter of the late Spencer and Eliza Reed Moore, she had resided in Hopewell Township her entire life. Anne was a para-professional with the Hopewell Valley School System for twenty-seven years, retiring in 2017. A member of the Hopewell Presbyterian Church, she was a member of the church choir and also was a deacon there. In addition to her many church activities, Anne was a member of a sewing club; a former Girl Scout leader; a volunteer for the American Red Cross, and a volunteer for Meals On Wheels. An avid gardener and scrapbooker who loved to travel, especially to visit her children, she was an antique collector who loved her antique doll collection. Anne was a woman who loved her family and cherished her many friendships. Surviving are her husband of sixty-two years, August Scheier; two daughters and sons-in-law, Pamela Anne and Andrew Lang of Newman, GA and Sandra Lynne Scheier and Patrick Sonnett of Atlanta, GA, and her granddaughter, Nora Catherine Lang. Private graveside services will be held in Highland Cemetery, Hopewell, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
