Anthony “Tony” Farinella, 90, formerly a resident of Three Bridges, New Jersey, for 36 years, passed away unexpectedly on Sunday, December 15, 2019 in Albuquerque, New Mexico.
He was born on September 11, 1929 in Newark, New Jersey. He was predeceased by his beloved wife Marilyn in 2009, his parents, Joseph and Bridget Farinella, and his brothers Sammy, Jimmy and Charlie Farinella.
He served his country in the US Army during the Korean War. He was employed by Tredegar (formerly Visqueen) in Raritan Township for 35 years and was an avid NY Mets and Giants fan, even after moving to NM in 1996.
Tony was a long-time member of Three Bridges Reformed Church in Three Bridges NJ.
Survivors include his daughter Kristina Becker and her husband Robert of Albuquerque, New Mexico, his three sons, Robert Farinella and his wife Nancy of Upper Black Eddy, Pennsylvania, Mark Farinella and his wife Rosalind of Pittstown, and David Farinella of Bound Brook, and many grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
He is also survived by four brothers, Frank, Joseph and his wife, Barbara, and Morris of Bloomfield NJ, and Michael and his wife, Yvonne of Kearny NJ, three sisters, Rose Farinella and Cathy Cokgun of Bloomfield NJ, and JoAnn Damiano and her husband, Anthony, of Rahway NJ, and two sisters-in-law, Doris Gordon of Brick NJ and Dolores Farinella of Newark, DE.
Visitation will be from 10-11:30 a.m. on Thursday, December 26, 2019 and a service at 11:30 a.m. at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, New Jersey, followed by burial at Washington Crossing National Cemetery, 890 Highland Road, Newtown, PA 18940.
