Antoinette D. Vlahakis

Antoinette D. Vlahakis, age 79 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Sunday, April 10, 2005 at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, October 14, 1925, she had resided in Raritan Township since 1945.

She and her husband, Peter Vlahakis, owned and operated a restaurant and confectionary store first in Whitehouse, NJ, and then in Flemington, NJ, retiring in 1971. She was a member of the Greek Orthodox Church.

Surviving, in addition to her husband, are a son, Daniel Vlahakis, of Raritan Township, NJ; a daughter, Evelyn Pierce, of Fanwood, NJ; a sister, Tina Michael, of Silver Spring, MD; four grandchildren, and four great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held on Friday at 11 a.m. in the Greek Orthodox Church of Hunterdon County, Route 12, Croton, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 2-4 and 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
