Arlene M. Smith

Arlene M. Smith, age 95 years, of Bethlehem, PA, died Wednesday, November 10, 2021, at Country Meadows Health & Rehab Center, Bethlehem, PA.

Born in Readington, NJ, June 5, 1926, daughter of the late Robert Raymond Stryker and Helen Van Doren Stryker, Arlene had resided in the Flemington area since 1949, until moving to the Bethlehem area in 2019.

Arlene was a graduate of Clinton High School and was formerly employed by the Hunterdon County National Bank, Flemington, NJ.

She was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, where she was the Church Treasurer for several years and was a longtime volunteer at the Hunterdon Medical Center, Flemington, NJ for more than fifteen years.

Her husband, of seventy-two years, Harold C. Smith, died October 14, 2020.

Surviving are a daughter, Carol Ann Smith Wigington, of Redding, CA; a son, David Smith of Palmer Township, PA; four grandchildren, Chris Wigington, Mandy Williams, Garrett Smith and Tara Rowlands; and six great-grandchildren.

Public graveside services officiated by Rev. Dennis Wene will be held Sunday, November 14, 2021, at 1:30 PM in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Capner Street, Flemington, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
