Arlene Viola Narbonne, age 71 years, of North Plainfield, NJ, passed away with her son at her side on Tuesday, June 28, 2011, in Morristown Memorial Hospital, Morristown, NJ.
Born in Newark, NJ, September 14, 1939, she was the daughter of the late Raymond and Viola Harris Reimann.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Theodore Narbonne, Jr., in 1993. She is survived by her only son, Jason T. Narbonne, of Frenchtown, NJ; and also leaves behind three brothers, Raymond Reimann of Thousand oaks, CA, David Reimann of Peru, NY, and John Reimann of Saddle Brook, NJ.
Arlene was a natural born "giving" person. She was active in the following groups: Association on American Indian Affairs, UNICEF, Doris Day Animal League, The National Humane Society, The Fund for Animals, Braille Books for Blind Children, the Environmental Defense Fund, and the United Animal Nations.
For those who knew Arlene, they would all agree that she had the biggest heart that they had ever seen. All that mattered to her was helping other people whether they be friend or complete strangers in need . She gave whatever she could to all. She had the ability to make everyone smile and laugh no matter what mood they were in.
She will be missed by all of her family and friends, and her memory will live on in the smiles of all the lives that she touched while here with us.
Funeral services will be announced under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be private.
