Arthur Andrew Conte

Arthur Andrew Conte, age 92 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died Saturday, April 8, 2017 at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, January 10, 1925, he was the son of the late Leno and Lena Levi Conte.

A United States Navy Veteran serving during World War II, Arthur was an Electrical Engineer for New Jersey Department of Transportation for over twenty years. Arthur was an avid member of St. Magdalen de Pazzi Roman Catholic Church, Flemington, NJ.

He is pre-deceased by his late wife, Rosaria “Rose” Conte in 1995 and a son Lee Conte in 2014.

Surviving are his wife of three years, Margery Alice Conte; one daughter, Mary Conte of Long Beach, CA; two sons, Christopher F. Conte of Shirley, NY and Michael A. Conte of Washington Crossing, PA; one sister, Louise Bernardo of Brooklyn, NY and six grandchildren, Matthew Conte, Joshua Conte, Allison Conte, Calvin Conte, Lena Conte and Clementine Conte.

A Mass of Christian Burial officiated by Rev. Timothy Christy will be held Wednesday, April 12, 2017 at 10:30 AM in St. Magdalen de Pazzi Church, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in St. Magdalen Cemetery, North Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held Tuesday, April 11, 2017 from 6:00-8:00 PM in the Holcombe Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.

Memorial contributions in Arthur’s name may be made to the Hope House Food Pantry, 105 Mine Street, Flemington, NJ 08822.
