Arthur Smith, Sr.

Arthur Smith, Sr., age 92 years of Stroudsburg PA, died Tuesday, September 13, 2016 at his home.

Born in Delaware Township NJ, June 8, 1924, Art was the son of the late Jacob and Emma McPherson Smith, he had formerly resided in the Flemington NJ area, then in Jutland NJ and had resided in the Stroudsburg area for twenty-seven years.

He was an owner-operator, self-employed truck driver and truck mechanic.

Art and his wife, Johanna Mansch Smith, were married for seventy years. He was pre-deceased by a son, John, and a daughter, Joanne Smith. His wife, Johanna, died September 15, 2016.

Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Arthur Smith, Jr. and his wife, Connie, of Cobleskill, NY; six grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.

Joint funeral services for Art and Johanna will be held Saturday, September 24, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held Saturday, September 24, 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral home.
