Audrey C. Gortler

Audrey C. Gortler, age 85 years, of Flemington, NJ, died Sunday, August 19, 2012, at her home.

Born in Staten Island, NY, April 24, 1927, daughter of the late Simon and Helmine Pedersen Syversen, she had resided in Staten Island until moving to the Flemington, NJ area in 1981.

A homemaker, she enjoyed traveling with her husband throughout the United States.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-five years, Herbert Gortler; a daughter, Kim Gortler of Flemington, NJ; a son Mark Gortler of Flemington, NJ; a brother, Harry Syversen of Ashville, NC; and four grandchildren, Amanda Bates, Grant Christofely, Erika Gortler and Craig Gortler.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 22, 2012, at 10:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ, followed by interment in Oceanview Cemetery, Staten Island, NY.
