Audrey J. Barrick

Audrey J. Barrick, age 81 years, of Fellowship Village, Basking Ridge, NJ, died on Friday, January 18, 2008 at her residence.

Born in Hillsborough Township, NJ, November 14, 1926, daughter of the late Raymond and Viola Conover Shepherd, she had resided most of her life in Pittstown, NJ where she and her husband, Orville Barrick, operated their farm for many years. She was also a bus driver for Delaware Valley Regional High School for seventeen years. She had resided at Fellowship Village for four years.

Active with the Hunterdon County Agricultural Fair for many years, Mrs. Barrick was also formerly active in the Hunterdon County 4-H Program and the Franklin Township PTA. She was formerly a member of the Hunterdon County Board of Agriculture Executive Committee and the New Jersey Farm Bureau Women. Mrs. Barrick was also a recipient of the William Kinnamon Award for Outstanding Contributions to the Advancement of Agriculture in Hunterdon County.

A member of the Holcombe-Jimison Farm Museum and the Franklin Township Seniors, she was also a member of the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Grandin, NJ and Chairman of the Fellowship Village Arts & Crafts Committee. Additionally, she was a member of the Clinton Womans Club.

Her husband of fifty-three years, Orville Barrick, died in 2000. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Donald and Susan Barrick of Schwenksville, PA; two daughters and a son-in-law, Linda and Douglas Squires of Scotch Plains, NJ and Joanne Barrick of Indianapolis, IN; a sister, Helen Clark of Farmingdale, NJ; a brother, Frank Shepherd of Calabash, NC; and two grandchildren, Karen Davis and Kevin Squires.

Funeral Services will be held Tuesday at 11:00 a.m. in the Bethlehem Presbyterian Church, Race Street, Pittstown, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ. Calling hours will be Monday from 3:30-6:00 p.m. in the Funeral Home.
