B. William Twardy, age 87 years, formerly of Clinton, NJ, died at home on Wednesday, May 27 in Cape Coral, FL.
He was the son of the late Bartholomew and Marie Creutz, and a 1940 graduate of Flemington High School.
During World War II, he served with the Army Air Force flying supplies into India.
Mr. Twardy was a rural mail carrier for the Flemington Post Office before he retired and moved to Florida.
He enjoyed bowling and golf and was a member of the Kiwanis Club. He was active in his Baptist church.
He was pre-deceased by a brother, Greg Twardy. Surviving him are his son, William of Florida; a granddaughter, Heather; a sister, Marian Kline; nieces Joan Miquel and Joyce Locantore; and nephews Paul and Carl Twardy.
Graveside Services will be held on Friday, July 31, 2009, at 2 PM in Cherryville Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ, under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
