Barbara A. Muldowney

Barbara A. Muldowney, 69, of Stockton, NJ passed away on Saturday, April 13, 2024 at home.

Born in 1954 and raised in Ewing Township, NJ, Barbara resided in Hillsborough and Basking Ridge before settling in Stockton in 1985.

Barbara’s favorite activities were reading library books, feeding the birds, trips to Long Beach Island and watching the Little League World Series. Barbara was dedicated to her closest friends and family. This included countless board games, bowling matches and bedtime books with her grandchildren, ages 2, 4, and 6, as well as, the care and love for each of her daughter’s dogs. She enjoyed visiting her long time friend, Holly Miller, who introduced her to Ron in 1975.

Barbara’s career as a registered nurse started in medical-surgical, then labor & delivery, until obtaining a postpartum/nursery position that she held for many years. Early in her career she was employed by Mercer Hospital and later Somerset Medical Center for 45 years until her retirement in 2020. She worked on night shift in order to maximize her time raising her two children.

Predeceased by her mother, Ruth E. Aaronson, she is survived by her father, William A. Aaronson, her loving husband of 47 years, Ronald J. Muldowney of Stockton, daughter Laura Mogerley (Eric) of Stroudsburg, PA, her son Michael J. Muldowney (Janice) of Danville, PA, her three grandchildren – Owen, Abigail, and Henry Muldowney, her sister Joyce Brugnoli, brother-in-law Keith Muldowney, sister-in-law Laurel Muldowney and her nephew, nieces and cousins.

Her service will be celebrated privately with family at the First Presbyterian Church of Ewing, NJ, under the care of Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
