Barbara Cartobino

Barbara Ann Cartobino, age 84 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, October 20, 2016 in the Green Knoll Care Center, Bridgewater, NJ. Barbara is at peace surrounded by God's Angels as her reward for a life of caring.

Born in Flemington, NJ, July 2, 1932, she was the daughter of the late Marshall and Mary Fink Hinkel. She was a lifelong resident of Hunterdon County.

Barbara was a graduate of Cedar Crest College and former teacher in Sterling, NJ, then became a caregiver for the elderly for many years. She was a volunteer with Hunterdon Hospice, the Princeton Medical Center Charities and FETE, Dining Out for A Cure, the MS Society, and the Turkey Trot.

She was a member and historian for the Cherryville Baptist Church.

Her husband, Salvatore Cartobino, died in 1990. She is survived by her daughter, Marylou Cartobino, of Flemington, NJ.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 at 7:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Burial will be private in Cherryville Cemetery, Cherryville, NJ Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, November 1, 2016 from 5-7:30 PM in the funeral home.
