Barbara J. Carns

Barbara J. Carns, age 69 years, of Hampton, NJ, died Wednesday, June 12, 2019, at Hunterdon Medical Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Somerville, NJ, July 24, 1949, daughter of the late Robert and Maren Tange Muhler, Barbara had resided in Hunterdon County all her life. She resided in Delaware Township, NJ, then in Flemington, NJ and Lambertville, NJ for many years before moving to Hampton, NJ.

Barbara was a nurse formerly employed by Independence Manor, Flemington, NJ.

She was the rock of her family and especially enjoyed being a grandmother. She will be missed by all who knew her.

Her husband, Allen H. Carns, died in 2011 and she was also pre-deceased by her sister, Sandra Thompson.

Surviving are two sons and a daughter-in-law, Patrick M. Carns of Hampton, NJ and Allen R. and Penny Carns of Kunkletown, PA; and her grandchild, Francis Carns of Kunkletown, PA.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, June 19, 2019, at 11:00AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Sandbrook Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday, 6:30-8:30PM at the funeral home.
