Barbara Krauss, age 74 years, formerly of Flemington, NJ, died on Monday, November 24, 2008, at her daughter's home in Syracuse, NY.
Born in Ringoes, NJ, March 9, 1934, she was the daughter of the late Louis and Elizabeth Bellis Zabriskie.
She was a sixty-five year member of the Flemington Baptist Church where she sang in the choir for many years. She was a fifty year active member and Past Grand Officer of the Order of the Eastern Star, Victory Chapter 96, Hamilton Square, NJ.
She was a 1952 graduate of Flemington High School. She worked as an accounting clerk at Johns-Manville, United Telephone Company, GTE Sylvania, First National Bank of Flemington and the County of Hunterdon, NJ.
She was pre-deceased by her husband, Hank Krauss who died in 1993. Surviving are three daughters; Holly Donato of Jenkintown, PA, Cathy Pope of Escondido, CA, and Linda Venner of Syracuse, NY; a brother, Rev. Richard Zabriskie of Ead, CO; three grandchildren: Nate Maselli, and Elizabeth and Anne Donato; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral Services will be held on Sunday at 1:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Prospect Hill Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 7-9 PM in the funeral home.
