Benner E. Hunt

Benner E. Hunt, age 90 years, of East Amwell Township, NJ, died on Tuesday, May 20, 2008, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Taylorsville, PA, June 19, 1917, he was the son of the late Horace and Jesse Pierson Hunt.

He was a United States Navy veteran of World War II.

He was a graduate of Lambertville High School and the Indiana Institute of Technology. A retired mechanical engineer, he worked for HED Industries, Ringoes, NJ.

Mr. Hunt was a member of Old Rocks Church, West Amwell Township, NJ; Orpheus Lodge F. & A.M., Stockton, NJ, and the Holcombe-Jimison Farmstead Museum.

Surviving are his wife of sixty-one years, Jean Romine Hunt; two sons, Robert Hunt of Hillsborough, NJ, and Leigh Hunt of Los Angeles, CA; a daughter, Jean Hunt of Bushkill, PA, and a granddaughter, Elizabeth Murphy of Burlington, VT.

Funeral Services will be held on Saturday at 11 AM in Old Rocks Church, Mt. Airy-Harbourton Road, West Amwell Township, NJ under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
