Bertha M. Crouse

Bertha M. Crouse, age 93 years, of Holland Township, NJ, died Thursday, September 8, 2016, at Rolling Hills Care Center, Clinton Township, NJ.

Born in Wilson Borough, Pa., October 14, 1922, daughter of the late Levine and Minnie Werkheiser, she had resided in Raritan Township since 1950 where she and her husband, Foster Crouse, operated a farm.

Bertha loved gardening and produce from her garden won prizes for many years at the 4H Fair. She also loved African Violets and roses and enjoyed nature scenes especially with animal subjects.

Her husband, Foster Crouse, died in 2004.

Surviving are two sons, Dale Crouse of Holland Township, NJ and Wayne Crouse of Raritan Township, NJ; a daughter, Connie Emmons of Holland Township, NJ; seven grandchildren; five great grandchildren and three great-great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, September 13, 2016, at 11:00 AM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Bloomsbury Cemetery, Bloomsbury, NJ. Calling hours will be Tuesday 10:00-11:00 AM at the funeral Home.
