Bertram S. Cronce, age 86 years, of Forks Township, PA, died Saturday, January 22, 2005, at Easton Hospital, Easton, PA.
Born in Pittstown, NJ, January 12, 1919, he was the son of the late Leon and Rebecca Fitzer Cronce. He had resided in Flemington, NJ, and Clinton Township, NJ, before moving to Forks Township, PA in 2002.
He was a mason-plasterer at the Edna Mahon Correctional Facility, Clinton, NJ, for thirty yeras, retiring in 1980. He was a United States Army Air Force Veteran of World War II, and was a member of the Allerton United Methodist Church, Allerton, NJ. He was a member of the Host Lodge F&A.M. of High Bridge, NJ; A.A. Scottish Rite of Trenton, NJ; and the Crescent Temple Shrine of Trenton, NJ.
He and his wife, Joyce Stumb Cronce, celebrated their Sixtieth wedding anniversary on January 16, 2005. Surviving, in addition to his wife, are a son, Leon Cronce of Milford, NJ; a daughter, Deborah Casciole of Phillipsburg, NJ; a brother, Charles Cronce of Phillipsburg, NJ; and two grandchildren, Adam Casciole and Ryan Casciole. Two brothers, Robert and Clifford Cronce pre-deceased him.
Funeral Services will be held Wednesday at 10 a.m. in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will follow in Locust Grove Cemetery, Quakertown, NJ.
