Born in Hunterdon County, NJ on November 7, 1886, he was the son of the late James Buchanan and Elizabeth Dallas.

Mr. Buchanan was a retired farmer.

He was survived by his wife, Miriam (Rittenhouse) Buchanan.

Interment in Sandy Ridge Cemetery, Stockton, NJ.
