Beryl M. Goodfriend

Beryl M. Goodfriend, age 89 years, of Pittstown, NJ, died on Tuesday, December 11, 2007, in the Hunterdon Care Center, Raritan Township, NJ.

Born in Cranford, NJ, December 1, 1918, she was the daughter of the late Sydney and Mabel Norton Cumberledge.

She had formerly resided in Westfield, NJ, and Bridgewater, NJ.

She retired as a Library Assistant with the Bridgewater-Raritan School System. She was a former leader in the Somerset County 4-H Chaps 'n' Spurs.

Surviving are her husband of sixty-six years, Daniel Goodfriend; two sons, Martin Goodfriend of Flemington, NJ, and James Goodfriend of Skillman, NJ; two daughters, Barbara Valen of Pittstown, NJ, and Kathy Dermody of Pittstown, NJ; eleven grandchildren, and eight great-grandchildren.

Funeral Services will be held on Thursday at 1:30 PM in the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Flemington Jewish Community Cemetery, Flemington, NJ. There will be no calling hours.
