Betty J. Balde

Betty J. Balde, age 78 years, of Raritan Township, NJ, died on Thursday, February 17, 2005 at her residence.

Born in Winston-Salem, NC, November 11, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Alonzo and Versia Craver Bagby. She was a Raritan Township, NJ resident for forty-five years.

She was a graduate of Salem College, NC. She was a member of the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Flemington, NJ, where she formerly served as a deacon, elder, and Sunday School teacher. She was also a member of the church choir and the Women's Association.

Her husband, John W. Balde, died in 2003 and a daughter, Gail Elizabeth Balde, died in 1974. Surviving are two daughters, Susan J. Gall of Winston-Salem, NC, and Joan Balde of Salt Lake City, UT; a son, Dan Balde of Finesville, NJ; and three grandchildren, Elissa and Rebecca Gall and Aidan Balde.

A Memorial Service will be held on Friday, February 25, 2005 at 2 PM in the Flemington Presbyterian Church, Main Street, Flemington, NJ. Interment will be in Winston-Salem, NC. There will be no calling hours. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
