Blanche Carl, age 85 years, of Delaware Township, NJ, died Tuesday, December 24, 2013, at the home of her daughter in Raritan Township, NJ.
Born in Delaware Township, NJ, January 12, 1928, daughter of the late Herbert and Madeline Spain Roadenbaugh, she had resided in Delaware Township seventy-five years.
She was fomerly employed by Lambertville Ceramic Co., then by Eaton Corp, Flemington, NJ and lastly by Unisys Corp.
She was a member of the Amwell Church of the Brethren of Delaware Township, where she was also active in the Busy Bees and the vacation Bible School there. She was also instrumental in creating the first Delaware Township School Library. Blanche was also a former Brownie, Girl Scout and Cub Scout leader and was formerly active in the Delaware Township PTA.
Her husband, Henry Carl, died in 1970.
Surviving are two daughters, Helen Maliszewski of Raritan Township, NJ, and Barbara Reiss of Kintnersville, PA.; one son, Robert Carl of Huron Township, MI.; eight grandchildren and eight great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be held Sunday, December 29, 2013, at 2:00PM in the Amwell Church of the Brethren, Sandbrook-Headquarters Road, Delaware Township, NJ. Interment will be in Lower Amwell Cemetery, Delaware Township, NJ. Calling hours will be Saturday 5:00-7:00PM at Holcombe-Fisher Funeral Home, 147 Main Street, Flemington, NJ.
